This research examines the concept of apology in Islamic thought from both legal and educational perspectives. It begins with a linguistic and jurisprudential grounding of apology in the Qur’an and Sunnah, showing that apology is a noble virtue that preserves social relationships and heals emotional wounds. The study then presents scholars’ views on the etiquette and conditions of apology, such as sincerity, avoiding persistence in error, and accepting a sincere excuse. It highlights that Islamic law balances the rights of both the apologizer and the one being apologized to, preventing injustice and arrogance. From an educational standpoint, the research demonstrates the impact of teaching apology on child upbringing and behavior correction, and suggests practical methods for instilling this value at home and school.
