The study aimed to identify the degree to which students of private universities in the Gaza governorates practice volunteer work and ways to develop it from the point of view of private university students, and to reveal whether there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≥ 0.05) between the average scores of the sample members’ assessment of the degree of practicing volunteer work due to For the variables (gender, type of college, and university), the descriptive survey method was used, and the questionnaire was a tool for collecting and analyzing data, which was applied to a sample of (507) male and female students. The results showed that the overall degree of appreciation for the practice of volunteer work by private university students in the Gaza governorates from their point of view for all dimensions was average, with the arithmetic mean reaching (3.006), and the relative weight (60.12%). There are also no statistically significant differences between the average degrees of appreciation of individuals. The sample for the level of volunteer work is attributed to the study variables: (gender, type of college, and university). The study recommended, through the proposed methods for activating volunteer work, the use of visual and digital media to educate community members about the importance of volunteer work, advertising volunteer opportunities, providing quality volunteer programs for student volunteers, as well as providing the necessary devices and tools to facilitate volunteer work, and networking between the university and volunteer agencies to organize courses and programs.
