Abstract
With the development of the means of communication and the exchange of digital data at the present time, the urgent need was asserted to protect these data, (voice, picture, text, video), exchanged on digital communication networks from intruders and tampers who temper with these digital data in order to see them and change their content, therefore, it became necessary adopting new technologies and mechanisms that are more confidential and secure to preserve exchanged digital data, including techniques (blending watermarks with digital data to protect them). This prompted us to conduct this study by designing and using a new model for blending watermarks into a digital image using the cellular automata model and comparing the results with forms used previously to blend digital data and watermarks. That's what was achieved by using the proposed model in which the results of the distribution (spread) of the watermark appeared in the digital image regularly from the beginning of the digital image to its end, compared to previous models in which the watermark is spread in a certain part of Image reaches 70% as indicated in the results shown in pictures and timetable.
